I am compelled to let you know that the "Tornado" was a lifesaver. The Chicago Police Dept. is replacing old computers with new ones. Some of the old computers are Windows 98. Flash drives do not work with Windows 98 and Windows ME despite the claim by some companies they do. This is also true for the "Iomega" disk drives. I tried them both... even with the downloaded drivers they didn't work. Perhaps if you have a Masters Degree in Computer Science you might get them to work. Saving files for transfer on Windows 98 and Me is a problem. I burned them to a CD but some files were in the "read only" mode when I opened them on another computer.... and that is another problem. It was when I returned the "Iomega" disk drive that I purchased earlier at the Staples Store that I discovered "The Tornado" in a store display. I bought it with little hope that "The Tornado" would work as promised. I downloaded the Windows 98 driver from your website and everything worked flawlessly just as your product clearly stated on the packaging. I can't tell you how much work you saved me and how easily the "The Tornado" works. I was even able to transfer data files on our network drives. Once again.. I thank you for such a great "must have" computer hardware product. Feel free to use me as a testimonial. Data Drive Thru® also is the creator of the PC Eraser™ that offers multiple methods to delete select files from the hard drives of computers in accordance with two U.S. Government Department of Defense standards and the even more robust Guttman method. The graphic user interface allows you to select files using either the drag and drop method from a Windows® based GUI or from PC Eraser's™ File Selector function. You simply click on "destroy" and your files disappear. The interface also allows you to specify files and extensions that you do not want to destroy, and to destroy any remnant data located in unallocated disk space. Data Drive Thru®, The Tornado™ and PC Eraser™ are trademarks of Data Drive Thru, Inc. Windows is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corp. |
